Samantha Armytage appeared to be in jovial spirts as she stepped out at the 2024 TV Week Logie Awards on Sunday night after quitting Channel Seven.

The former Farmer Wants A Wife host, 47, announced her shock departure from Seven earlier this month after 21 years with the network.

But she showed her support for the channel as she stormed the star-studded red carpet at the 64th annual Logies, which is being aired by Seven.

For the big night, Sam put on a glamorous display in a navy off-the-shoulder gown embellished with a sparkling silver clasp.

She let her outfit do all the talking as she simply accessorised with silver earrings and wore her golden locks in glossy waves over her shoulders.

Farmer Wants A Wife, which Sam hosts, is up for Best Structured Reality Program at the hotly-anticipated 64th Logie Awards.

The Channel Seven dating show is up against Gogglebox Australia Married At First Sight, Muster Dogs, Old People’s Home For Teenagers and SAS Australia.

Though Sam will not return as host next year after quitting Seven, she represented for the show for the last time at the awards cerem ony.

Sam became the face of FWAW last year after first appearing as a guest host before pushing out Natalie Gruzlewski to be the main host.

However, Sam shocked fans earlier this month by announcing she is quitting Seven and leaving FWAW in a huge career change.

Describing the departure as ‘sad and bittersweet’, she told The Daily Telegraph that she felt her time had come to an end and that she was excited about her future.

‘I’m big on instinct. I listen to my instinct. I know when the time comes. I am proud of the fact that I back myself enough to say: “I’ve done what I can do here” and I move on,’ she said.

‘This is not the end. It’s just the end of this chapter.’

After shocking fans with the news, details then emerged of the new contract Sam is believed to have turned down.

A source alleged that Sam threw in the towel after two seasons as the host because Seven wanted to cut her salary, according to Woman’s Day.

‘Sam wanted similar money to what Natalie Barr and Sonia Kruger are on,’ the insider told the publication.

‘Sam was still on breakfast TV money from an old contract and that’s just not what you get paid to host one reality show these days.

‘She was asking for what Sonia gets paid for three shows. It wasn’t going to happen. Seven just didn’t have the money.’

They went on to allege that Seven also refused to allow Sam more ‘creative control’ on the reality TV series.

After 21 years at Seven which saw her salary get up to a reported $500,000 per year, Sam’s agents are said to be setting up meetings with Nine and Ten.

Samantha will still appear at the upcoming Logies, with her show Farmer Wants A Wife nominated for Best Structured Reality Program, but she will not return to host the show’s next series, which is currently in pre-production.
