Spoilers for General Hospital reveal that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is aware of the truth. He is aware of Cynthia Watros’s (Nina Reeve’s) secret and is probably going to reveal it very soon. What matters is how he goes about doing it.
To be honest, Michael’s knowledge of the truth has no bearing on the result. Cameron Mathison’s character, Drew Cain, remains incarcerated. Laura Wright’s character Carly Spencer will be proved right, but she won’t be able to utilize the evidence to free Drew.
That being said, Michael will still spill Nina’s secret regardless. Nina has been pretending to have let go of her anger toward Carly, and even after her daughter, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), specifically asked her to drop her vendetta, she still hasn’t.
Michael Will Use the Information to His Advantage
Michael is going to make good on the information. He has two options: either he sings like a canary and goes straight to Sonny and Willow, or he uses extortion to force Nina to leave town and never go near his wife or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) again.
With the evidence, Michael could also visit his mother. Though it’s unlikely, he might play it that way. According to GH spoilers, Nina will face Martin the following week. She must ascertain that Michael is aware that she was the one who informed the SEC about Drew and Carly.
Additionally, as revealed by spoilers, Carly receives terrible news and Michael makes a big decision. Thus, fireworks can appear as quickly as you can pronounce the phrase “busted.”
You would think Michael would be conflicted about the decision since Nina is Willow’s mother, and Sonny is happy with her, but he is Michael Corinthos. There is no way he is letting Nina off the hook.
At the same time, the last thing he would want to do is hurt Willow, even if it does mean he gets the last laugh where Nina is concerned. Willow is just starting to develop a meaningful relationship with her mother, and when the truth about Nina comes out, Willow will be devastated.
Michael also just buried the hatchet with his father. If Sonny chooses Nina again over his family, he will hate his father again just as much as he now hates Nina.
Michael Knew What He Was Doing, Getting Proof
At Sonny and Nina’s wedding, you could tell how uncomfortable he was with everyone welcoming Nina into the family, not to mention her dancing with young, impressionable Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver).
Michael knew what he was doing, getting proof from the horse’s mouth. Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) name will be left out because he gave Nina up to him.
Nina could turn around and sue Martin for violating attorney-client privilege. Still, Martin may see that the only other option was to end up buried in the Pine Barrens if Michael told Sonny about his involvement.
It’s possible that Nina was deluding herself when she believed Martin would protect her secret. She must have known in her heart that this day might come, nevertheless.
It appears that Nina’s greatest nightmares are already materializing. She might be about to lose everything, even though she isn’t aware of it yet. A lot of fans of General Hospital have been anticipating her fall.
