General Hospital Spoilers: Will TJ Turn A Blind Eye To Help Austin

General Hospital spoilers weren’t prepared for a rather amazing turn of events when Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) pushed and insulted Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) too far.

Austin did the only thing he could think of—smother Mason—when Mason vowed to take him down with him out of vengeance.

This is where things really started to get interesting, as Mason stormed back to the hospital, looking like he wanted a piece of furious TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).

He witnessed Austin smothering him, which will set up a wonderful dynamic that “General Hospital” is eager to watch develop over the following several weeks.

But let’s explore the ideas in more detail first.

Unable to prosecute

After Mason shot his mouth off out of frustration to TJ and TJ realized who he was, the last thing he expected was for his mother to tell him they didn’t have enough to arrest him.

While Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) agreed it wasn’t right, she tried to comfort TJ by pointing out what Mason was facing for abducting and attempting to murder Ava Jerome (Maura West).

It didn’t help and he stormed out only to return to the hospital, for what purpose we don’t know.

It’s possible that he was planning on ending Mason himself, but instead he was there in time to watch Austin do it. Or will TJ Stop it?

TJ’s on the fence

Normally, we’d say TJ will keep quiet to protect Austin since he removed the person that helped hold him captive, but we have a feeling it could go another way.

TJ didn’t like that Ava was going to have her revenge on Mason with him going away, and he may hold the same resentment toward Austin for taking away his chance at a pound of Mason’s flesh.

Even if it prevented TJ from participating in the act and jeopardizing his job and sanity, we doubt he’ll see it that way, and Austin might pay a heavy price for it.

Perhaps this will serve as a moment of closeness for them both after going through all they have because of Mason.

There are a lot of possible outcomes here, so it will be interesting to watch how things work out and whether TJ stands with Austin or turns against him.
