Big Brother season 25 has been an impressive season of strategic gameplay, but with only five houseguests remaining, one of them may have just ruined their shot at the win for making a spineless move. Big Brother 25 has been the longest seasons of the series, and as the houseguests approach 90 days in the house, the end is just around the corner for the cast. With very few houseguests remaining, power has never been more important as it’s the key to securing safety. Big Brother’s ruling duo, Matt Klotz and Jag Bains, have been in power for weeks, but it may cost one of them the game.
Though Big Brother 25’s Matt Klotz has been one of the more popular houseguests with casual viewers, some are finding that, even though he’s come to power, Matt’s throwing his game away entirely. According to Reddit user MagnusTNT, Matt has “been the frontrunner…but this last week during his HOH he has completely tanked his game. He’s completely ruined his relationship with Cirie because…he just completely folded.” Viewers have been watching Matt dominate the game throughout Big Brother 25, but after coming into power, managing his connections in the house has been difficult, causing him to falter and buckle as a player, and make “spineless” nominations.
Can Matt Klotz Win Big Brother 25?
While Matt has the potential to make it to the end of Big Brother 25, MagnusTNT feels that “even if he makes it to final 2…he deserves to lose…[as] Matt has completely squandered his excellent position.” Matt’s strategy throughout the game has been aligning with as many people as possible and pledging his loyalty to houseguests like Survivor legend Cirie Fields. Matt won the worst possible HOH of the season. As explained by Reddit user Brett_baty_is_him, “Matt really shouldn’t have won hoh since he had literally nobody coming after him and even if he did sit on the block against Jag, Jag would’ve been sent home since he’s a bigger threat.”
Matt’s gameplay throughout Big Brother 25 has relied upon the idea that he’s covered from all angles, having allies throughout the various groups in the house. Matt’s strongest alliance has been with Jag, but his alliance with Cirie has always been something that’s protected him from the nomination block, even when he chose not to save Cirie’s son Jared Fields with the Power Of Veto during the first double eviction. Matt’s fostered too many alliances, and with his allies now the only people left in the game, having to go against them has made it impossible for him to navigate his HOH decisions.
Though Matt has chosen to make what he feels are “safe” nominations, he’s broken trust with two of the houseguests he felt were certain to stay aligned with him throughout the game. By having to show where his true allegiance lies, Matt’s made a critical game error. Now that he can’t play in the final 4 Head Of Household competition, Matt’s only chance to survive is to hope that he’s able to win the Power Of Veto in the final week, assuring him a spot in the Big Brother 25 final 3. It’s possible that his thirst for power this week has cost Matt the game.
