Report on spoilers for General Hospital For over a year, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has confided in Ava Jerome (Maura West). Ava’s reliable handling is everything in her relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Naturally, Nina has a persistent fear in the back of her mind that Ava might sell her out at any time. She still can’t seem to stop herself from taking charge once more.
When Ava tells Nina that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is taking advantage of her secret, she will not appreciate Ava’s prompt counsel. Will Ava, who is unwilling to sink Nina’s ship, conclude it’s too little, too late and tell Sonny the truth?
Nina Needs a Shoulder to Cry On
Whenever Nina makes a mistake, we see her quickly hurry to Ava to tell her about it. It seems as though she can release some of her remorse over her numerous errors and withholding them from Sonny by confiding in Ava. However, Ava has never really shown Nina the same kind of friendship in return.
Ava has never told Nina any of her secrets, even though she might listen to her and give counsel. Underneath it all, Nina may be detecting that this friendship is a little bit of a one-way path. Or perhaps she is simply understandably paranoid.
GH Spoilers Spill Ava Lends Just an Ear
When Nina tells Ava that Michael figured it all out — thanks to Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) — and has her over a barrel when it comes to her relationship with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and her grandchildren, Ava may not give her the warm reception she was hoping for.
Let’s be frank though, Ava has warned Nina many times that the truth always has a away of coming out, and she needs to be honest with Sonny before someone else does that for her.
Now, it appears Ava may have been right. Michael has Nina right where he wants her. Not only does that unnerve Nina, but it worries Ava, too.
Ava Saves Her Soul
Being on Sonny’s bad side, or Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright’s), or really any of their clan’s, is the last thing Ava wants. Since he returned from Nixon Falls, she has maintained a strong relationship with him and the family.
She would be toast if everyone knew she knew what Nina was up to the entire time. It might also jeopardize her beloved bond with her daughter, Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola).
Ava may end up reporting Nina to Sonny in order to save her own skin, given the increasing amount of tension that Nina heaps upon her.
