Evicted houseguest Felicia Cannon reveals that one of her own family members died while she was still competing in the Big Brother 25 house.
Big Brother season 25 houseguest Felicia Cannon may have just been evicted from the house, but it turns out she’s been grieving the loss of a family member for at least part of the game. Big Brother 25 has been a whirlwind in recent days, with the evictions of both Felicia and Survivor legend Cirie Fields. With those two players no longer in the game, that leaves Jag Bains, Matt Klotz and Bowie Jane as the Final 3. Part 1 of the final Big Brother 25 Head of Household competition saw Matt come out on top. As of this writing, the results of Part 2 are not yet known.
Ever since her eviction from Big Brother 25, Felicia has been chatting with various outlets to reflect on her gameplay. One comment in particular stood out when Felicia revealed that her brother died while she was in the Big Brother house. While speaking with @RealityRecaps (as shared by @VintageWingnut1), she said, “Week 9 when I went on the block, that was right after I found out about my brother.”

@AyeWhoAllThere expanded upon Felicia’s comment, revealing that her brother passed away and that “she was able to speak with her family and it was their wish for her to keep playing.” As Felicia noted, this tragedy took place during week 9 of Big Brother 25, which means she’s spent the last several weeks trying to keep going in the competition while also grieving the loss of a family member. @Frebbolicious on Twitter observed that the Big Brother 25 live feeds “cut immediately” after Bowie recently asked Felicia how she’s doing and the latter responded, “I’m just thinking about my brother.”
Felicia Cannon’s Big Brother 25 Gameplay Explained
Felicia was one of the most outspoken players on Big Brother 25. If she had made it to the end, she might have had a chance to win the game despite not being a competitive threat. Felicia was on the nomination block eight times throughout the season, and she survived seven of the eight trips to the block. While her competition record was low, Felicia did win a Head Of Household title early in the game, evicting one of the biggest power players in the house at the time, Hisam Goueli. While she didn’t go on to win another competition, Felicia still played an interesting game.

The majority of Felicia’s gameplay was social, as she was at her best when she was able to disperse information about other houseguests and twist events to make her competitors look like they were lying. Though Felicia betrayed several of her allies in order to propel her game forward, it was clear that she was one of the few houseguests on Big Brother 25 who seemed to be playing for herself. After the final 4 Head Of Household competition went to Bowie, Felicia was evicted by Power Of Veto holder Jag and will join the jury of 7 to crown the winner of Big Brother 25 on finale night.
Felicia’s gameplay was fascinating to watch from the very beginning, especially considering she was at a huge disadvantage, being the oldest contestant in the game. Even in the wake of tragedy, Felicia managed to continue on in a game full of people who were coming after her. The high level of strength she displayed, without the knowledge of the viewing public, in the Big Brother 25 house was exemplary and should be something other houseguests aspire to in the future.
The final two episodes of Big Brother season 25 air Tuesday, November 7 and Thursday, November 9 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
