General Hospital spoilers suggest that it’s been a hot minute since Hayden Barnes has been in Port Charles. A recent Instagram post by the character’s portrayer, Rebecca Budig, has sparked a buzz that Hayden may possibly return to the daytime drama in the near future.
Mom & Daughter Reunited
Warning: This contains spoilers. The thought of her father, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), and her aunt Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), together, is something Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) enjoys. But would she still feel the same way if her mother returned to the little town?
It’s difficult to explain, but it’s wonderful that the mother-daughter pair that you see on film recently got back together in real life. Budig shared a picture of herself and her youthful coworker Jophielle with a bearded dragon on Instagram.
Recall that Dr. Finn owns a service lizard named Roxy, so GH fans were giddy in the comment section over the mother-daughter team and the bearded dragon.
Could Hayden Return?
With Finn dating her half-sister, this is the most opportune moment for Hayden to resurface. How would Ms. Barnes feel knowing that Elizabeth was with Finn? How conflicted would Violet be, if her mom showed up again? It would certainly make for an interesting storyline.
In 2015, Budig made her soap opera debut as Hayden Barnes. Although she began the show as a villain, her relationship with the good doctor set her on the path to redemption. She left the show in 2017, but made a mysterious comeback in the summer of 2019.
She sadly disappeared once more during the spring of 2020, fleeing because she was afraid of James Patrick Stuart’s character Valentin Cassadine.
In the end, she returned to the kid to reveal that he wasn’t a true Cassadine. Considering that everything is in the past already, Ms. Barnes ought to make a return!
