According to General Hospital spoilers, there are rumors circulating that James Patrick Stuart’s character Valentin Cassadine (as well as Scarlett Fernandez’s character Charlotte Cassadine) and their frightened daughter are fleeing Port Charles, New York. Wouldn’t it be better if the terrible dad just up and left for a bit? GH fans, what are your thoughts?
Charlotte Cassadine Shot
Unexpectedly, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) shot Charlotte Cassadine, the teenage bully who had been torturing her. She did this because she thought she was an invader and not her boyfriend’s child.
Valentin Cassadine knew all about Charlotte’s offense against Anna prior to this catastrophe, but he preferred to lie and commit crimes rather than acknowledge that his daughter, who had been indoctrinated by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), needed assistance.
Victor convinced Charlotte that Anna is the enemy who would hurt her papa. Now, Anna has given Charlotte every reason to believe this lie.
Charlotte Believes the Lie
Imperial Anna did the wrong thing by sneaking into Charlotte’s hospital room to let her know she meant her no harm. Really? Anna is supposed to be a super spy, and this is the clumsy way she acts? Then again, she has a tainted history as a double agent so …
Charlotte screamed for help at the sight of Anna, and Valentin rushed in. Afterward he and his former SO had it out, and while Valentin said he blames himself for this whole catastrophe, that doesn’t mean he will, or even knows how to, do the right thing next.
Valentin Cassadine’s Blame
Maybe the best thing to do in this messy case is tuck tail and run—and hope for the best because it can’t get much worse by sticking around in Port Charles.
It would be a classic Cassadine move to whisk Charlotte away for some good ol’ fashioned deprogramming, with everyone on edge and Vanna over. Naturally, going away (to boarding school) is what first caused all of this turmoil, but Valentin is a Cassadine at heart.
Perhaps the strongest indicator of the plot moving forward is history: Fernandez has been spotted on occasion, and Stuart has other irons in the fire. What do you believe is the best course of action for Charlotte and Valentin, GH fans?
