He’s in a great position to mend the severed friendship between Steve Burton’s character Jason Morgan and Maurice Benard’s character Sonny Corinthos!
Michael Corinthos Needs A Chance To Prove Himself
Michael needs a chance to prove himself to Sonny, and for that matter, so does Jason-Michael had been furious enough previously to set Sonny up.
Michael’s vendetta against Sonny is how Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) came into the picture, he hired him to infiltrate Sonny’s organization.
Then the plan was to turn Sonny into the Feds after Dex got the proof to incriminate him-but then the truth came out, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) destroying the flash drive.
Jason will also need a chance to prove himself again, since Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may not be able to clear him.
Dante saw what happened and that it wasn’t Jason who shot him, it was Hamish (Chris Gann), who got a bullet in Jason as well, before Jason killed him.
Sonny Corinthos Doesn’t Need A Babysitter
Michael continued to pay Dex to watch after Sonny, but when the truth was revealed, Sonny became irate and stopped thinking that he needed a babysitter. Fortunately, Dante benefited from this arrangement.
When Michael asked Dex to return and defend Sonny, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) did so after learning of the trap Sonny was attempting to set for the gunman.
After Jason left the scene, probably to dispose of Hamish, and bandaged Dante, Dex and Josslyn arrived and found him. Jason had also left his phone linked to 911.
However, that does nothing to mend fences with Sonny for Michael because he did so behind Sonny’s back after Sonny banished Dex from Port Charles and fired him.
Of course, now that Sonny has seen Damian Spinelli’s (Dominic Zamprogna) drone footage stills, he knows that Jason’s alive and was seen close to the sniper rifle on the rooftop.
Sonny Corinthos Is Nervous About The Changes In Jason Morgan
Sonny is nervous about the changes in Jason, because it appears he was the shooter-John Cates (Adam Harrington) isn’t helping dispel that theory, being laser-focused on Jason as Sonny’s shooter!
Jason had to murder Hamish since it’s clear that Hamish created him, otherwise he wouldn’t have shot Dante and himself, regardless of who he’s truly working for or whether he’s on his own.
Michael has the opportunity to assist mend the rift between Jason and Sonny once, hopefully, Dante is back to consciousness and able to clear Jason of shooting him.
Jason will be available on Thursday, March 14 to discuss his whereabouts and the reason behind his lack of notice.
After everything is said and done, Michael can start working to make things right between Sonny and Jason and earn his redemption.
