According to General Hospital spoilers, some of the most endearing moments between Steve Burton’s character Jason Morgan and his youngest son Danny Morgan have occurred amid all the intense drama surrounding his comeback.
Even though the two recently got back together in unusual circumstances, the passion was still visible on screens during the day.
Recently, actor Asher Antonyzyn discussed his interactions with his father on television and how Steve Burton helped him get through some difficult moments.
Asher Antonyzyn & Steve Burton “Connected” From The Get-Go
GH spoilers note that fans were completely shocked when Danny was the first one to find a very injured Jason at the Quartermaine boathouse. Fans could feel the confusion as the youngster was completely caught off guard seeing his thought-to-be dead bio dad.
Asher tells SOD that he and Burton “connected right away”. Before shooting their first scenes together, he and Steve sat down, and his onscreen father became like an acting coach.
Antonyzyn states that Burton taught him so much and encouraged him along the way. He adds that the scene was a “ton of fun”.
Trouble Ahead For Danny Morgan
GH spoilers note that while Danny is excited his dad is back in town, others aren’t so thrilled. Notably, his half-brother Jake Webber (Hudson West), who believes their dad is the one who shot Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Another person who feels conflicted is his mom, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
Antonyzyn tells SOD that during a recent scene, Sam refers to Jason as “this guy”, not acknowledging that he’s Danny’s dad.
She believes that Danny deserves better as a father, and these assertions “cut like a knife” for the teen. Danny just wants to see Jason and from the looks of it, it’ll be a hard no from his mom.
Given Jason’s reappearance, it sounds like there might be some drama between Danny and Sam. Sadly, their divergent opinions will pit him against Jake as well, which can further upend Danny’s already chaotic life.
