Farmer Wants A Wife star Daisy Lamb has hit back at naysayers who believe she and Farmer Todd Melbourne won’t last off camera.
The happy couple found love on this year’s season of the Channel Seven show, but they have since fought to dispel rumours they are heading for a split.
Daisy posted a very telling statement about the status of their relationship to Instagram on Saturday.
The real estate agent, 27, shared a sweet video of herself and Todd 33, cuddling up to each other and sharing a passionate kiss.
Over the top of the footage, she wrote: ‘This next chapter is called: WE deserve this.’
She continued: ‘Life hasn’t always been easy for either of us and we’ve made some mistakes, but we ended up together for a reason.
‘We are learning how to love correctly and appreciate things we never got in the past. So when you see us happy, let us be happy. We deserve this.’
The message to their critics comes after Daisy and Todd revealed they want to start a family together sooner rather than later.
They told New Idea on Monday they are only focusing on the next step in their romance, with the pair already picking out baby names.
‘Things are going so well. I think I was pretty smitten with him from the very get-go. Hopefully in the next 12 to 18 months, we’ll start to think about marriage,’ Daisy said.
‘There’s definitely kids in the future. We actually sat down last week and went through kids’ names – which ones we did and didn’t like!’
Todd agreed with his sweetheart, saying it ‘makes my day’ every time he gets home to find Daisy waiting for him with a smile.
‘Waking up next to someone is nowhere near as lonely as what it has been. We both want to start a family. Definitely, marriage, kids, all of that’s on the cards,’ he said.
Todd went so far as to reveal on Sunday night’s emotional FWAW reunion special he is planning to propose to Daisy soon.
The cattle farmer from New South Wales admitted he hasn’t made it official, but he and Daisy are looking forward to a wedding and babies.
