Former Vanderpump Rules star Rachel Leviss opted not to return to film Season 11 of the show. And that was probably the best decision for her. The Pump Rules cast is still dealing with the fallout from Scandoval. Rachel and Tom Sandoval embarked upon an affair while he was involved in a nearly decade-long relationship with her friend, Ariana Madix.
They were able to keep this secret, with only a few people in the know, like Tom Schwartz. Once news of the affair broke, Bravo was shaken (and stirred).
Rachel is having trouble dating a “sweet” man
Rachel’s podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, has given her a voice to tell her side of the story. She shared that Sandoval called her a “sociopath” because she hung out with another man. And, while she was in a mental health facility, he pressured her to leave. It was then that Rachel realized that he didn’t love her.
So, Rachel has been getting to know someone else, an “investment CEO” named Matthew Dunn. In May, Rachel’s publicist stressed that the duo were just friends. According to Rachel’s publicist, “It’s a little too soon to jump to any labels.” Fair enough.
During her most recent podcast, Rachel talked about her dating life. “And now that I’m, you know, getting back out there and meeting new people – I met someone who I had awesome communication with, and he was very emotionally intelligent and emotionally regulated, and it just didn’t work out,” Rachel said.
“I’ve kind of been seeing somebody else and it’s been fun and a fling — he’s just so sweet, so kind, and it really does make a difference,” she added. It seems that she is referring to Matthew.
“This sounds so silly, like a standard, stuff that you would just have as basic benchmarks for relationships,” Rachel said. After being in “abusive” and “toxic” relationships, she has trouble visualizing a stable future with a nice man.
“It’s hard for me to be with a sweet guy and think of it as a serious long-term thing. Like, I don’t see him as my husband,” Rachel explained. “I think we need to experience that sweetness and that other side of the spectrum in order to find a good balance.”
Hopefully, Rachel will end up with someone who values her and treats her well.
