The Valley’s Jax Taylor opened up about the “hurt” he felt in his friendship with Lisa Vanderpump following his departure after Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules.
Jax Taylor and Lisa Vandeprump had their long-awaited reunion during Season 11, Episode 13 of Vanderpump Rules, where the good friends-turned-foes attempted to squash their differences after their fallout due to miscommunication issues.
While the duo were able to move past their drama and hug it out, Jax shed more light on his past feud with Lisa and revealed what hurt the most when they weren’t on speaking terms during an episode of the Vanderpump Rules After Show. (which was released during VPR Season 11, which aired earlier this year).
Jax Taylor details his issues with Lisa Vanderpump
“I was a little upset because… I was in this from the beginning, and I think I helped create a masterpiece,” Jax said of his time on the series. “That’s what I call the show. I really think it is.”
Jax went on to mention how Lisa served as a “huge figure” in his life, but once he departed from Vanderpump Rules in Season 8, it seemed like she didn’t value their friendship anymore.
“I mean, I spent over a decade of my life with [Lisa]. I’ve had heart-to-hearts with you. I’ve been over your house crying. You’ve been crying to me, OK, when you had issues on Housewives, you would come to me and say, ‘You’re the only one I could talk to,’” Jax explained. “Like we have some moments. I just felt like I didn’t mean anything to her. I felt like I was just like that,” he added while clearing his hands.
For Jax, the breaking point in his issues with Lisa came when she didn’t check in on him or his now-estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, during her pregnancy with their son, Cruz Cauchi. As Jax explained, there was no phone call or congratulations from Lisa, which “bothered” him a lot.
Brittany also voiced similar sentiments on the situation with Lisa, saying, “I had Cruz, didn’t hear a word from her. She never checked on me throughout my entire pregnancy, and I had a very tough pregnancy. I was sick 24/7 but never heard a word from her.”
However, Jax and Brittany later revealed that Lisa did send a gift to them “eight weeks” after the birth of their son. In the end, Jax explained how the ordeal affected him tremendously, stating, “It hurt my feelings.”

As it turns out, Jax and Lisa haven’t spoken since their sit-down on Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. The reason? Jax shared: “[It’s] not because I don’t want to, not because of anything going on… We’re busy, and I don’t go to Hollywood that much either, so I don’t make myself available for her to see me or anything like that.”
