After a three-month hiatus from the internet, Trixie made a grand return this week to YouTube. But that’s not the only reason why she’s turning heads and making headlines!

This year, Trixie was honored as the Out100’s Readers’ Choice in the Business category — and her words couldn’t have resonated more.

“The largest obstacle I have faced is learning that work matters, but not as much as relationships,” Trixie told Out. “Call your mom, kiss your boyfriend, and buy your parakeet some extra millet.”

Trixie’s response serves as a reminder that even one of the hardest working drag artists in the game needs to know when to hit pause and focus on life outside of work. And if you have a parakeet, please remember to feed it!

The All Stars 3 winner also reflected on the accomplishments she’s most proud of this year, which happens to be her thriving channel on YouTube.

“I continue to be the most proud of my presence on YouTube. YouTube is like television without old white straight men signing the checks. It’s awesome,” she explained.

Between the end of her hiatus and being honored as a business mogul on the 2024 Out100, Trixie is once again proving why she’s a force to be reckoned with in media and LGBTQ+ culture!
