Billy Miller’s presence in the soap world will forever be missed.
The world of daytime was rocked this weekend by the news of Billy Miller’s passing. His years spent on-screen on All My Children, The Young and the Restless, and General Hospital made him one of the most memorable leading men on soaps.
Honoring Billy Miller
The actor passed away on September 15. When Miller joined General Hospital, his character had no memory, took the name Jake Doe, and fell in love with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He was later revealed to be Jason Morgan and fell for Jason’s “widow” Sam (Kelly Monaco). Their connection grew incredibly strong, and they had a daughter, Scout. His love for Sam proved strong — to the point he was even willing to walk away from Sonny (Maurice. Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright).
When the real Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) eventually showed up, he revealed himself to be twin brother Andrew Cain. That led to the development of a close childhood bond with Franco (Roger Howarth). Along the way, Drew and Curtis (Donnell Ashford) developed a close relationship.
Miller was outstanding in the part, and he had great connection with all of his co-stars. It made a lasting impression on both his fans and his co-stars. Here are just a few snapshots from his illustrious time in Port Charles.
