Heading into the 10th episode of “Big Brother 26,” Cedric Hodges had just won the third Head of Household competition of the summer, which gave him the ability to nominate three people for eviction. His first two choices were easy: Angela Murray and Kenney Kelley. But he had a hard time picking the third nominee, ultimately going with Tucker Des Lauriers. So who won the Power of Veto challenge on Wednesday night?

Below, read our minute-by-minute “Big Brother” Season 26, Episode 10 recap/live blog to find out what happened Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Then be sure to sound off in the comments section about your favorite “BB26” houseguests on CBS‘s reality TV show, who annoys you the most and who you think will ultimately join the “Big Brother” winners list. Julie Chen Moonves once again hosts the series.

Here are the names of the 14 remaining houseguests: Angela Murray, Brooklyn Rivera, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Cedric Hodges, Chelsie Baham, Joseph Rodriguez, Kenney Kelley, Kimo Apaka, Leah Peters, Makensy Manbeck, Quinn Martin, Rubina Bernabe, T’kor Clottey and Tucker Des Lauriers.

8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the ninth episode, the house reacted to Lisa Weintraub‘s shocking eviction, with only Kenney voting to keep her. Cedric then won the HOH competition and decided to nominate the house’s target Angela, plus the homesick Kenney. Cedric weighed the possibility of putting up Makensy as a third nominee to flush out her “America’s Veto” upgrade power, but in the end he decided to keep his hands clean by nominating Tucker as a pawn. How will tonight’s Veto shake up the game, if at all? Let’s go!

8:04 p.m. – With two volunteers on the block, Cedric was looking forward to an easy week as HOH and hoping that whoever wins the veto will leave noms the same so that he doesn’t have to name a replacement. Makensy had a feeling that Cedric was planning to backdoor her if there’s a replacement and so she wanted to do what she could to prevent that from happening, like playing in and winning the veto for herself.

8:07 p.m. – In a follow up to his conversation with Angela a few days ago, Tucker was starting to think that she was heavily hinting Quinn having the second power up. When he brought the topic to Kimo, it was quietly confirmed and then Kimo explained exactly what the power can do. This information armed Tucker with the exact ammunition he needed to help get one of the powers removed from the game if he wins the veto this week.

8:13 p.m. – Once again, Kenney was expressing to the other houseguests that he doesn’t care if he stays or goes because of how much he misses his family at home. T’Kor didn’t understand if it’s strategy on Kenney’s part because he’s winning challenges one day and telling people he wants to leave the next. In a conversation with Cedric, Kenney told him that one of his ideas is that he’d like to win the veto so he can piss the house off by taking Angela off the block, leading them to evict him and send him back to his family.

8:15 p.m. – In the selection for players to compete for veto, Cedric drew the chips of Makensy and Leah to play alongside himself and the three nominees.

8:20 p.m. – In the veto competition, the six players competed in “Recharge My Core,” a race through a jungle habitat carrying a power core without touching any of the vines. Cedric got through with 45% battery, Makensy got through with 65%, Leah with 35%, Angela with 15%, and Tucker and Kenney with much better treks that closely competed for the win.

8:34 p.m. – Ultimately, Tucker was declared the winner with 85% battery in his core and earned the veto. Afterward, Tucker spoke with Cam in the storage room to disclose that he learned Quinn has the upgrade power to hijack the HOH’s nominations. Cam was “sketched out” by the relegation because he’s in two alliances with Quinn, but this shows a lack of trust between the two. Later, Cam passed that knowledge on to Cedric. To make up his mind about the replacement spot, Cedric levied some questions at Quinn to see what he’ll tell him about his power, but Quinn avoided giving anything away and lied straight to his face (and Joseph’s) about how Lisa must have had the power.

8:45 p.m. – Despite the Quinn disclosure activity, Cedric was still considering one of his original ideas of putting Makensy up and so he sought to make her feel safe enough that Kenney or Angela would go home against her so that she doesn’t use her power and (he thinks) force him to name even another replacement.

8:47 p.m. – Tucker went to Kenney and Cedric with a “crazy plan” to use the veto on Angela instead of himself to “take out one of the strongest players in the house this week.” He wanted to leave himself and Kenney up against Quinn because he thinks they’d have the numbers to send him home. He also wanted to stay up in order to defeat Quinn in the A.I. Arena instead of relying on Angela to do it.

8:50 p.m. – At the veto ceremony, Tucker made good on his last minute idea and removed Angela from the block, leaving Angela and the house shellshocked. He said, “It’s time to get the competitors out. That’s my decision and I’m sticking with it.”

8:53 p.m. – Forced to make a decision, Cedric named Makensy as the replacement which did not go over well with Tucker. Tucker told Cedric it was a “stupid ass idea” that he would not forget, setting in motion was seemed like a new feud in the house. Tucker apologized to Makensy because it wasn’t the plan.

8:55 p.m. – Before the meeting could be adjourned, Makensy activated her “America’s Veto” to remove herself from the block. Ainsley came on the screen to explain that America will vote on the replacement nominee to be revealed only moments before they have to compete in the A.I. Arena on eviction night.

8:57 p.m. – In the fallout of the meeting, Tucker and Makensy were vowing to come for Cedric next while Quinn felt like Tucker made it obvious he’s his next target and so that made Quinn feel like he’ll have to target Tucker next week.
