Amid speculation that over-the-top Big Brother 26 houseguest Angela Murray is a producer plant, host Julie Chen Moonves reveals the traumatic reason that she thinks Angela bullied Lisa Weintraub in the house. During Big Brother 26 week 2, Angela and Lisa were on the chopping block together, first alongside Power of Veto winner Kenney Kelley, and then pawn Tucker Des Lauriers. Angela was shown mocking Lisa’s walk and then calling her a twit, which brought Lisa to tears. Angela also attacked Matt Hardeman and called out her former alliance, the Collective, due to her paranoia, yelling that they were like actors in a low-budget movie.
“Hurt people, hurt people.”
After Lisa’s blindside eviction, in an interview with EW, Julie explained why she thought Angela bullied Lisa, thinking back to Angela’s discussion of her past childhood trauma in her Diary Room session. She said, “Because I saw Angela get emotional in the Diary Room referring to her elementary school days feeling like a loner on the outside, I couldn’t help but think simply: hurt people, hurt people.” Julie added, “It doesn’t make it right, but it does explain why we must ‘love one another.’ Words hurt, and can cut so much deeper than you think.”
Julie Chen Moonves Reveals Why Big Brother Houseguests Didn’t Evict Angela
Angela & Lisa Were Shocked By The Vote
Although Lisa was blindsided and Angela was shocked that the houseguests chose to evict Lisa instead of Angela, Julie explained the reason that they did. She said that the bottom line was that the house felt that Lisa was a tougher competitor to beat so they had to evict her over Angela. Julie shared that, as she and Lisa sat in silence while CBS broadcast what was happening inside the house, she could see the wheels turning in Lisa’s head as she began to piece things together. Julie said, “It was tough to watch, and my heart felt for her.”

Although Julie is very compassionate to try to understand why Angela bullied Lisa, she’s correct in saying that it doesn’t make it right. There’s no excuse for what Angela did to both Lisa and Matt. Angela called Matt “Crazy Eyes,” and told him that his mother should know what a disrespectful brat he was. She made him cry as well. So far, both evictees have been the victim of Angela’s wrath, and it’s not something that she should be proud of. Bullying is not gameplay, and it’s terrible to watch it play out.
Throughout Big Brother 26, Angela has been so overly emotional and theatrical that she seems to be a producer plant, cast on the show to cause drama. She’s appeared on several other CBS shows, including House Calls with Dr. Phil, The Price Is Right, and Let’s Make a Deal. She also calls herself a Big Brother superfan. Whether Angela’s drama is fake or real due to her childhood trauma, there’s absolutely no excuse for her bullying the other houseguests. If Angela doesn’t stop this bad behavior, hopefully she’ll be evicted sooner rather than later.
