Billy Miller who played Billy Abbott on Young and the Restless and Drew Cain on General Hospital has passed away on Friday, September 15, just two days before his 44th birthday, which is today.

Although Billy Miller’s death has not yet been given a cause, someone at The Belmont, a Los Angeles restaurant and bar that the late actor co-owned, has confirmed it. But according to information provided to TMZ, the late star was battling manic mania at the time of his passing.

Billy Miller’s Journey into the Entertainment World

On September 17, 1979, Miller was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After earning a communications degree from the University of Texas, he moved to Los Angeles, started working in Industry Entertainment’s mailroom, and started going on acting auditions.

A contract to appear in six commercials, including two for Electronic Arts’ The Sims, gave him his first significant break in the entertainment business after he joined the Wilhelmina modeling agency.

He passed the screen test for As the World Turns and was given a job offer, but due to poor management, he was fired from the part and lost interest in acting as a career.

On AMC, Miller was given the role of bad boy Richie in 2007. He relocated to the West Coast in 2008, where he began playing Billy Abbott on Y&R. He won three Daytime Emmys for the role.

Miller also won awards in 2010 and 2013 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. The late actor received the honor for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2014. Later, he became Jason Morgan and worked at General Hospital.

Miller’s roles outside of soap operas include those in the 2014 Bradley Cooper movies American Sniper, Fatal Honeymoon, Urban Cowboy, and Bad Blood.
