We have an update on Ann Maddox’s job at Something About Her.
On Season 11, Episode 14 of Vanderpump Rules, it was revealed that Tom Sandoval’s former assistant had officially joined the team at Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix’s sandwich shop.
On April 26, Ann told The Daily Dish via email, “I am very excited about my new job at Something About Her. Ariana and Katie are the best bosses a girl can ask for! [I] can’t wait to ‘break bread’ with all the lovely fans of VPR at the sandwich shop. See you soon!”
However, when Ariana and Katie were asked about Ann’s employment status on the April 30 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Ariana explained, “She’s had another temporary job.”
Weeks later, Ann confirmed she was still working at the sandwich shop on the May 14 episode of WWHL. More recently, Ann made a surprise appearance on Part 3 of the Vanderpump Rules reunion, and we have an update on her role at the (now open!) eatery.

To conclude Part 3 of the reunion, host Andy Cohen revealed there was a surprise in store for the cast.
“We usually end reunions by raising a delicious cocktail,” he said. “But we are making tonight’s toast with toast. That’s right: We actually have Something About Her sandwiches waiting in the wings. We need someone to bring them out, and who better than Kyle Chan and Ann?”
Ann then appeared with a tray of Something About Her sandwiches for the group to enjoy. Andy was quick to praise the food, declaring, “Let me tell you something, this is damn good.”
What is Ann Maddox’s job at Something About Her?
Following the May 22 opening, Ann is still on the team at Something About Her. However, she does not have an in-house, customer-facing role.
Viewers got a glimpse into Ann’s work life at Something About Her on Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 14, when she helped organize the back of the restaurant and took notes as Katie described a problem with the awning.
On the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Katie and Ariana explained why they were excited to have Ann on board.
“Something [Ann] had said she wanted in a job before was to be someone who contributed creatively and somebody who had upward mobility — things like that — and that’s definitely something that we have,” Ariana said. “She also said she really wanted to work with women.”
Katie added, “I already think she’s a great addition. Just her presence and enthusiasm and everything.”
The Vanderpump Rules business partners are thrilled with the rest of their team as well. On May 21, Ariana told The Daily Dish that a “really exciting” moment at the sandwich shop recently was seeing their “awesome team and staff come in and step up to the plate” during the soft opening on May 16.
“We’ve been working with them and hiring them, and everyone’s been training, but to see everything actually happening, that was really cool to watch,” she said.
