A Farmer Wants A Wife insider has revealed the ‘unfair’ reality for the show’s finalists as they dished on some filming secrets.
They claimed the farmers on the Channel Seven dating show are ‘heavily discouraged’ from contacting their other love interests after their big final choice.
They alleged that Farmer Dustin hasn’t spoken to Anna since bombshell scenes saw him pick Sophie in the final episode in what he said was a very difficult decision.
‘The farmers are heavily discouraged by Channel Seven producers to talk to the other finalists ever again,’ the insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
‘The cold shoulder from each farmer is brutal and many of the girls are left wondering where it all went wrong, especially the girls who make it to the final two!’
‘Other girls have explained that it would have been nice to encourage the men to give more of an explanation, as most of them leave questioning the whole process, it is unfair,’ they added.
However, they claimed Farmer Bert did check in with his love interests after deciding to walk away from the show single, deciding he wasn’t ready for a relationship.
The insider said he contacted his co-stars after the cameras stopped rolling, allegedly against producers’ wishes, to check in with all of the women.
Bert quickly became a fan favourite on the show and left fans devastated when he made the decision to quit before the finale in a shock twist.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Seven for comment.
The hotly-anticipated final episode saw the remaining farmers finally decide who they wanted to leave the show with, with Farmer Joe picking Sarah.
Farmer Dustin had a difficult decision in the finale but ultimately chose Sophie, declaring that he was ‘falling in love with her’.
Farmer Todd also found love with Daisy in the finale, admitting it was a ‘big risk’ as he declared his love for her in the sweet scenes.
Meanwhile, Farmer Dean left the show a week-and-a-half into filming after finding love with Teegan, while Farmer Tom also departed the show early with his love interest Sarah.
However, one woman from the 2024 series admitted she doesn’t think any of the budding couples will still be together in one year’s time.
‘I highly doubt anyone this season will still be with their farmer in one year,’ she told Yahoo Lifestyle.
‘As the show finished with a hero’s edit for most farmers, not all is what it seems – I can guarantee you that.’
She went on to claim that the cast felt pressure from producers to sell the ‘happily ever after image’ at the reunion and said a lot has changed since then.
