Farmer Wants a Wife contestant Andrew Coleman has been accused by his former partner of travelling to Tasmania and allegedly stealing his ex Claire Saunders’ car after their relationship ended.

The ex-couple, who exited season 13 of the popular reality show earlier than planned after declaring their love, were engaged from March to July 2024.

Ms Saunders, who is currently visiting family in Tasmania, left Mr Coleman’s Narromine farm to work in the Northern Territory after their split.

She alleges that while she was at her mother’s Launceston home she discovered her Toyota Prado had been stolen from the driveway on September 5.

She says she reported the alleged theft to Tasmania Police but that it has been “classed as a civil case”.

Theft allegations against farmer

Ms Saunders surprised followers on September 7 by making explosive allegations in a social media post about the missing car.

“Turns out Andrew flew down to Tasmania in secret and followed me around for a few days without my knowledge,” she said.

“He waited until I was asleep and then in the middle of the night stole it from my mums driveway.

“I have not seen him to have a conversation with him since I left for Darwin because he won’t take my calls or see me.

“I have tried many times to talk to him to sort things out with no response.

“I woke up Thursday morning to find my car gone, so l called the police and reported it as stolen.

“While I am crying doing my statement to the police he was driving my car to Hobart to put it on a car carrier to be shipped to the mainland.

“Now I have no leg to stand on as it’s classed as a civil case.

“I don’t understand any of it because how can someone you love go to so much effort to steal from you but not see you to talk.

“I will say this, girls you should never ever stay in a bad relationship. If you are made to feel like you are not worthy leave no matter how much it hurts because it will never change.”

Tasmania Police has been contacted.
