Spoilers for General Hospital state Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) is set to be defeated by Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), and he’s not the only one. To help him solve the mystery surrounding Sasha Gilmore Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) most recent breakdown, he has enlisted Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).
Cody is confident that Gladys is somehow involved, but proving it will be difficult. But he has a chance now that Brook Lynn is on board.
And if these two smartasses involve a third person, Gladys is out of luck. She is no longer entitled to any advantages as Sasha’s legal guardian.
Cody is committed to seeing justice served, and it appears that he is making good progress. Gladys, beware—Cody Bell is turning up the heat.
Gladys Corbin Is Raking It In
So, getting Cody into Ferncliff was quite the accomplishment, but Brook Lynn is now faced with a new challenge: assisting him in solving the mystery that has been implicating Gladys during the entire time. Who, in all honesty, truly loves Gladys?
There aren’t many, for sure. Brook Lynn has been working hard lately to thwart her own grandmother’s attempts at blackmail.
However, when Cody turned to her for assistance, she was aware that if she could help solve this case, it would even improve her reputation in Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) eyes.
Gladys has been living it up — cashing in on her daughter-in-law’s lifestyle and scooping up fur coats at Logan’s.
All of that is at risk now as Cody and Brook Lynn set their sights on figuring out what she is up to and how she got Sasha locked up.
Indicate Harrison Chase Climbs Aboard
Chase is an active man. He doesn’t waste time following up on fruitless leads or accepting dubious hypotheses. He may need more than just a casual discussion to be persuaded to work with Cody and Brook Lynn in their effort to discover Gladys’ true objectives.
However, concrete evidence is the only thing that has the potential to persuade him. Sasha has a long history with Chase, though, and she has always supported him when he’s been struggling.
Fortunately for Cody, he might soon stumble upon the smoking gun they’ve been looking for —- Gladys’ involvement with Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder).
According to GH spoilers, Cody knows the good doc from Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) poker games, but he hasn’t connected the dots yet.
When he realizes that Dr. Montague is in charge of her care at Ferncliff, he’ll start to piece things together. Armed with this new information, perhaps Chase will finally be convinced that there’s more to this con-artist than meets the eye.
Gladys Corbin Is Shifty
Dr. Montague has gone to great lengths to make sure Sasha looks like she and she alone made the cascade of decisions that landed her in a mental institution.
He has more in store for her than merely showing up to gaslight her and inject her with medications; much of it is unbeknownst to Gladys, who is still keeping up her act of loving Sasha and having a decent heart.
Cody will have a difficult time persuading Chase and Brook Lynn to stick with him when Sasha’s drug test is positive and it appears that she has succumbed to substance usage once more, but maybe Gladys will give them just enough pause to not dismiss his beliefs altogether just yet.
