General Hospital spoilers suggest that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is furious with both Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
Dex Was Originally Hired To Obtain Evidence Against Sonny
There may be no turning back for Sonny’s relationships with these two men. Jason, Sonny’s former mob enforcer, was presumed dead for years, and now he’s working as an informant for the FBI.
Granted, it’s against his will, as he’s protecting Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), but Sonny isn’t aware of that.
Dex was originally hired by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to infiltrate Sonny’s organization and obtain evidence against the mafia boss to give to the feds so that he would end up in prison.
However, Carly stomped on the flash drive containing the proof they needed to put Sonny in jail, and instead, she hired Dex to protect Sonny.
Dex agreed and even started to bond with Sonny and think of him as a father figure. Sonn had Dex almost kill Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), but Sonny changed his mind after a heartfelt talk with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
Unfortunately, Sonny thought there was a mole in his organization, and upon Brick’s (Stephen A. Smith) urging, he looked into Dex.
That’s when he saw that Dex’s offshore account was funded from an unknown source. Sonny almost killed him, but Dex’s Hail Mary was Carly in the flesh, who showed up at the Pine Barrens and talked Sonny out of it.
Sonny told Dex to leave town, or he would kill him. However, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) tracked him down and brought him back to Port Charles.
Jason and Dex Need Each Other
Once Josslyn learned that Sonny’s orders almost killed Dex, she broke up with him. Dex tried confessing his involvement with Sonny to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who offered him a job at the PCPD instead. Joss immediately feared that Sonny would kill Dex.
Now, Sonny sees Dex as a threat and is gunning for him. He’s not taking the correct dose of his medication, and he’s very volatile. He could quickly eliminate Dex.
That’s where Jason comes in. Jason promises Joss he will protect Dex and not let Sonny kill him. Recently, Jason and Dex had their first scenes together, and we think there’s more to come.
Since Jason and Dex are both on Sonny’s radar, they will likely team up and protect each other. Jason is an expert in this area, and Dex just became a cop.
The two men could have each other’s backs and warn each other if they think the other could be in trouble. It could lead to a powerful bond between them, and they could become like brothers like Sonny and Jason once were.
Jason and Dex don’t know it yet, but they need to form an alliance, as it would benefit both of them. Jason may even have a plan to keep Dex safe, which he will reveal soon.
Sonny’s behavior has become erratic and unpredictable. With Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) plan for Sonny to go off the rails and land himself in jail, will Dex become a casualty when Sonny finally breaks?
