For the week of Monday, January 4-Friday, January 5, General Hospital teases a prelude to New Year’s Day, as well as revelations, confrontations, and admissions that could change people’s lives.
Sports will take precedence on Monday, New Year’s Day. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) gets news that will change her life, and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) confesses when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) confronts him.
New Year’s Day Preemption
Monday, New Year’s Day is preempted for the 2024 Citrus Bowl, which pits college football teams the Tennessee Volunteers against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
In the event of a rainout, nothing officially has been announced but most likely there would be a rerun. Or, there may be local programming substituted.
Either way, GH returns Tuesday, January 2 with a brand new episode in which Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) continues trying to spill the beans on Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros).
As she tries to tell Sonny the truth at the Savoy, they are interrupted by a returning Ned Quartermaine, (Wally Kurth) Michael and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).
Life-Altering News And Confrontations
Tuesday, January 2, while Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) are celebrating the start of a new year at home, Carly will get news that will change her life.
Her brother Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes), according to spoilers, will be calling to inform her that Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) had passed away in Amsterdam.
As Olivia becomes enraged with Lois at the Savoy due to the SEC whistleblower leak, Sonny will confront Michael.
In another scene, Katelyn MacMullen’s character Willow Corinthos will ask her mother Nina for assistance.
Finally, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) grapples with how to co-parent with Drew, who has become her polar opposite in how to raise Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante).
Confessions And Suspicions
Wednesday, January 3 Michael will confess to Sonny, and in the meantime, Willow will have suspicions about Michael’s ulterior motives.
Drew will support Carly in her time of need, and the news about Bobbie will soon spread in preparation for her memorial next week.
Elsewhere, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will start to put the pieces together, possibly about the plot being perpetrated by Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) at the urging of Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).
Lucy had pushed Scott to renew his and Tracy’s years ago affair, with the end game being sweeping a vulnerable Tracy off her feet and bilking her out of her money!
Elsewhere, Ava Jerome (Maura West) has a surprise visitor-might it be Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) resurfacing?
Fraught Encounters And Romantic Surprises
January 4, Thursday At the church where Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) posed as a priest to Nina in the confessional, Sonny had a tense interaction with him. In another scene, Brook Kerr’s character Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) gives her a romantic surprise.
Carly loses her cool at everything that’s happening and lashes out, perhaps after finding out that Nina turned her and Drew over to the SEC and also learning that her mother passed away.
Elsewhere, Josslyn Jacks (Courtney Fulk) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) find Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) drunk. Meanwhile, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) makes a realization about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Reminiscing And Encouragement
Friday, January 5 Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) reminisce, likely about Bobbie Spencer.
As for Nina, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) tells her to have trust because it seems that they have had a falling out over the SEC report exposé.
Josh Kelly’s character Cody Bell consoles Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) in another scene, which is perhaps in reference to Bobbie’s demise.
In another scene, Sam and Drew argue; it seems that Sam pulled Scout out of the private school Drew enrolled her in without asking permission, and Scout refused to leave. In the meantime, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is caught in a difficult situation!
