General Hospital spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is bound to return to Port Charles at some point.
It’s just too soapalicious to have this mischievous character dangling in the wind offscreen when he could be bringing danger and angst to the canvas.

Many fans are especially hoping he comes back to break up the awkward relationship between infectious disease specialist Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and head nurse Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
Though theoretically they ought to have amazing chemistry, they don’t. Quite simply put.
That’s not a criticism of the actors at all. No amount of acting can disguise the fact that sometimes two individuals sizzle and other times they fizzle. Still, a significant portion of the fan base ships Niz. Right now.
Liz Baldwin And Hamilton Finn Doomed?
Finn and Liz’s latest fiasco was their Vermont trip where they pulled maple syrup from a fake pine tree. And then Finn licked Liz’s sticky finger. Oh my, no.
Even Easton talked about the duo, telling SOD “I don’t know what’s going to happen with them, I really don’t. I actually thought it was done and then they re-engaged it.”
Where Are Fiz Going?
He added that the show is “trying to go all-in and see what happens with it” and that may have been the kindest way to say that this couple is lost. If the show has no idea what this couple is about, then no wonder the fans are over them?
According to Easton, if Fiz fizzle there’s always another story to tell. And that’s where brooding and dark Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) fits in.
Will Niz Ride Again?
The show could be setting up the return of Nikolas with a recent convo between Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
The former attorney acknowledged that Nikolas would most likely not be prosecuted in PC because his victim, baby mother Esme Prince (Avery Pohl), suffers from amnesia and doesn’t recall his imprisoning her in a tower.
When Nik returned, the scene would be explosive, with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) being claimed by his absentee father and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) going crazy at his father’s second fake death.
Liz supported Nik prior to his departure, and she probably would once more if he returned and everyone turned against him. Tell us, GH fans: would you rather see Liz with Nikolas or Finn?
