The land of Port Charles is ready to welcome a new face, according to General Hospital spoilers. Lily Anne Harrison’s Andrea Gates will make her acting debut the week of August 14. She will talk to Molly Lansing-Davis (Brooke Anne Smith) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) about perhaps becoming the couple’s surrogate.

The Special Connection Lily Anne Harrison Has

According to GH teasers, Gates will get along with the couple, and there’s a high chance the group will decide to proceed with the surrogacy.

Interestingly, the actress has a unique link to the soap opera because Gregory Harrison, who plays Gregory Chase, is actually her father.

Nevertheless, according to sources, Lily had been trying out for the show before her dad’s arrival in 2020. Ms. Harrison recently discussed how she got the part of Andrea Gates with Soap Opera Digest (SOD).

It Was Not The Part She Auditioned For

During her interview with SOD, the actress revealed that she initially read for a more “sinister” role. Sounds like she originally auditioned for the part of Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini), Avery Jerome-Corinthos’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) “nanny”.

Ms. Harrison explains that the reason she was passed up for that job is because the casting team wanted to put her in a “warmer” character.

This implies that the Andrea Gates figure will probably be a nice one who will definitely dazzle Molly and TJ. The couple will decide it’s time to move forward with plans to extend their family and include Andrea in the entire process, according to GH teasers, which indicate that this first meeting will probably go well.

However, given that this is the home of daytime drama, nothing ever goes as “planned.” Fans should anticipate some bumps in the road as TJ, Molly, and (perhaps) Andrea struggle to make Baby Ashford’s entrance into the world.
