General Hospital spoilers suggest that actress Lindsay Hartley once again stepped into the role of Sam McCall during the first official episode of 2024 for the show. While she does a phenomenal job whenever she temporarily replaces actress Kelly Monaco as Sam, many fans are wondering when OG Sam McCall will return.
Kelly Monaco Will Be Back, Very Soon
The Lindsay Hartley recast is really temporary, according to GH spoilers. Ms. Monaco was merely “under the weather,” according to TV Line, and she will only miss one episode. Her expected comeback to the show is scheduled on Friday, January 5.
For fans of GH, this is a major relief because the program has recently experienced a number of temporary recasts.
Last week, actress Nicole Paggi filled in for Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), and in December, Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks) took a leave of absence to grieve her mother’s passing. For a six-week run, actress Courtney Fulk has been recast as Joss.
This Isn’t The First Time Lindsay Hartley Has Played Sam McCall
Linsday is the “go-to” actress when the soap needs someone to fill in for Kelly, and she does a fantastic job.
Hartley has been called in twice in the past to play Sam McCall, once in 2020 and then again in 2022. If Monaco is unwell, then Hartley is the perfect actress to fill in. She “gets” Sam McCall.
During GH’s primetime special, General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling, Kelly recently joined the rest of the ensemble.
Monaco took part in a special performance where she performed some intricate dancing with Valentine Chmerkovskiy, her former partner from Dancing With The Stars.
She also appeared with her coworker Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) in a scene that startled viewers by revealing the reappearance of actor Steve Burton, who portrayed the notorious Jason Morgan character. Burton’s official return date has not yet been announced.
