According to General Hospital spoilers, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has played her final card. She won’t be able to continue running the show how she wants.
Gladys won’t be able to control Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) by torturing her indefinitely. The gig is over since she had to ask Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for assistance.
In Deep Trouble
Gladys has a significant gambling issue. She owes Selina Wu (Lydia Look) an incredible sum of money because she has suffered enough losses at her poker tables at the Savoy.
Gladys has been Sasha Corbin’s guardian, which has allowed her to survive. She has access to Sasha’s funds as her guardian and has used them to make some of Sasha’s payments.
She needed a doctor named Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) to help her keep Sasha reliant on her. Sasha has been given drugs by him to keep her unconscious. Gladys advises Montague to back off after noticing Sasha in an extremely bad situation. If Gladys doesn’t pay, he won’t do it and will release Sasha.
Now things are really serious because she has to pay Montague to keep Sasha alive and she already owes money to Selina. She tries to get more money by selling Sasha’s stock in Deception Cosmetics, but the company is being sued so stock purchases are on hold. She is desperate for cash.
Getting Help
To get help with her situation, Gladys approaches Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). She asks her for the money to pay off Dr. Montague and get Sasha out of Ferncliff Hospital for the Criminally Insane.
Nina is shocked to hear the story. While Gladys tries to paint herself in a better light, it’s pretty evident that she is to blame for Sasha’s predicament.
Nina agrees to assist if it allows Sasha to immediately escape. Gladys thinks Nina is a trustworthy person because she’s getting married to her cousin Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Sonny will be incensed when he learns about this predicament. Only because he is struggling with his own issues after being arrested has he not heard about it. Gladys will be temporarily saved by Nina’s unwillingness to bother him with this at the moment.
