Report on spoilers for General Hospital On New Year’s Eve, Cynthia Watros’s character Nina Reeves Corinthos intends to confess all of her transgressions, but not to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). That’s already what she did.
Nina will decide she’s had enough of being a coward as she realizes how many people are aware of her secret and have the potential to ruin her existence with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). If she is going to lose Sonny, let it be after she has told the truth and kept some semblance of her integrity.
Perhaps not so surprisingly, it seems like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) might take her confession on the chin. If Nina plays her cards right — and plays Sonny right — she just might hang onto her husband, even if their marriage isn’t the same bliss it was before. Ignorance is overrated, right?
However, if Sonny stands by her, he’s going to have a new fight on his hands with the rest of his family — again.
Nina Reeves Wins Again
Despite his feelings for Nina, Sonny made the correct decision when he returned from Nixon Falls and gave his marriage to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) his all. However, he also concealed the reality about his life from his family while he was overseas in an effort to keep Nina safe.
His family was destroyed when that truth bomb went off, and he shared equal responsibility with Nina for it. He went so far as to request his family’s support for their connection, but he yet stood by Nina and supported her activities.
He and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) almost weren’t able to bounce back from that hardship, but they have. Now, when Sonny defends Nina yet again against Michael, it may become a permanent line in the sand.
Leak Michael Corinthos Will Be Furious
Michael isn’t just going to be upset that his dad is siding with Nina — he’s going to be furious that he’s siding with her over him.
Of course, Nina is going to tell Sonny the truth about Michael trying to blackmail her, giving herself an advantage over Michael from the get-go.
Sonny will fall for it hook, line, and sinker, and Michael will find himself wondering why he ever gave his dad another chance.
Why did he call things off with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) when he could’ve put the guy away, and will there be room to reinstate that plan after his dad reignites his fury?
Willow Tait Won’t Understand
Willow is going to find herself in a difficult situation. She will be angry with her birth mother, but she also doesn’t want to break up with her because they have spent months developing a connection.
Since Nina is now the only mother she has left, she has grown to adore her and finds it impossible to fathom her life without her.
Willow’s own marriage to Michael may be in jeopardy if she decides to give Nina another chance, as Sonny has done.
