‘NCIS’ Season 21 Cast – 8 Stars To Return, 1 Returning In A Reduced Role

Back in February, CBS revealed that NCIS would be back for Season 21 during the 2023-2024 television season.

“BIG news. Get ready to grab your gear, we’ve got more work to do. #NCIS has officially been renewed for Season 21! We’ll see you there,” the network announced.

CBS confirmed that NCIS officially returns for Season 21 on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 9 p.m. ET!

We also know which main cast members have renewed their contracts, and which one is taking on a significantly reduced role.

Sean Murray as Special Agent Timothy McGee – RETURNING

McGee started in a recurring role on Season 1, and became a main cast member from Season 2 onward.

Wilmer Valderrama as Special Agent Nick Torres – RETURNING

Torres started to appear on Season 14, and has remained on the show ever since.

Katrina Law as Special Agent Jessica Knight – RETURNING

Knight appeared as a guest star on Season 18, and returned for Season 19 as a main cast member. She’s appeared ever since.

Gary Cole as Supervisory Special Agent Alden Parker – RETURNING

Parker began his run on the show in Season 19, and has stayed with the series ever since.

Brian Dietzen as Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jimmy Palmer – RETURNING

Dr. Palmer began on the show as a recurring star for the first five seasons, starring in Seasons 6 through 9, and becoming a main cast member from Season 10 onwards.

Diona Reasonover as Forensic Specialist Kasie Hines – RETURNING

Hines started as a recurring star in Season 15, moving to a main cast member in Season 16 onward.

Rocky Carroll as NCIS Director Leon Vance – RETURNING

Vance began as a recurring star on Season 5, becoming a main cast member from Season 6 onward.

David McCallum as NCIS Historian and former Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard – REDUCED ROLE

“I am delighted to say that I have reached an agreement with CBS for Dr. Donald Mallard to stay with NCIS for Season 16. Once again it will be a limited schedule. That arrangement will allow me to spend time with Katherine, our children, six grandsons, and Nickie,” the 89-year-old actor wrote to fans.
