NCIS Los Angeles’ Medalion Rahimi has been lined up for her first major project since the police procedural was axed.

NCIS LA’s Medalion Rahimi is set to star in a thriller alongside some familiar faces from the worlds of The Rookie and Pitch Perfect.

The CBS drama welcomed Special Agent Fatima Namazi (played by Medalion Rahimi) into the fold back in 2019 and remained in the show until it was cancelled in May 2023.

Reportedly, the show’s demise came due to the show’s hefty price tag which the network could no longer afford with a similar reason being given for the end of NCIS Hawaii after just three series.

Since its ending, fans have been curious to find out what the stars of NCIS LA will get up to next with Rahimi going on to feature in a couple of shorts, according to her IMDb profile.

But there will be more to come from the 31-year-old actress as she has been busy working on a thriller that is filled with other memorable stars.

Upcoming movie Skincare is currently in post-production and while its plot is still under wraps, Deadline previously described it as a “vanity thriller set in Hollywood”.

Details on who Rahimi is going to portray also haven’t been released just yet but her character will be called Margaret.

Taking on the leading role in Skincare will be none other than Pitch Perfect and Magic Mike actress Elizabeth Banks, following on from her successful theatre run of her latest directorial effort Cocaine Bear.

As well as Banks, Rahimi will be sharing the big screen with The Rookie star Nathan Fillion who will be reprising his role as John Nolan in season seven which is set to debut in January 2025.

Some of Fillion’s other biggest roles, bar the ABC drama, have been in Castle, Serenity, Firefly and Slither.

They will be joined by Bill Pullman’s son Lewis Pullman whose film credits include The Strangers: Prey At Night, Bad Times At The El Royale and Top Gun: Maverick.

So far, a release date hasn’t been announced but given that the film is currently in post-production, it is possible Skincare could be out sometime later this year or beginning of 2025.

Rahimi isn’t the only NCIS Los Angeles star to have moved on to other projects since the police procedural was cancelled.

Special Agent Kensi Blye star Daniela Ruah featured in the Portugese Netflix drama Turn Of The Tide in 2023, following the ending of NCIS LA.

She is also going to portray a character called Maria Joao Mascarenhas in the mini-series war drama, A Espia.

Meanwhile, LL Cool J had managed to remain in the NCIS universe, reprising his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna in NCIS Hawaii.

However, with the show now cancelled after its third series, it isn’t known what the actor’s next steps will be.
