Watch Angela Confront Matt In A Heated Rant On Tonight’s Episode Of ‘Big Brother 26’

It’s only been one week since the premiere, but Big Brother 26 has already gotten off to a chaotic start. Over the two-night premiere, a possible 17th houseguest unmasked themselves as AI. Secret powers were unleashed in the game. A new set of twists rocks the nomination and eviction process. And real estate agent Angela Murray became the first Head of Household. Despite calling out Matt Hardeman early on for the possibility of getting in a showmance, Angela chose not to nominate him in her initial round of three people on the block. And so, the tech sales rep believed the air had been cleared.

Little did he know how wrong he was. A recent clip posted by CBS previews tonight’s episode, scheduled to air at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, where the houseguests will compete in the first veto competition of the season. But the bigger to-do is what Angela chooses to do the morning of the competition. She exits the HoH room, clapping slowly. The others join in, believing she’s starting some sort of song or making a joke. But, as Angela will quickly prove, this is no laughing matter.

The clip above shows part of Angela’s tirade against Matt, a speech that went on in real-time for close to ten minutes. Standing on a landing above a group of houseguests in the kitchen, including Matt, she launches into him.

“Matt, Matt, Matt,” she says. “You must be so proud of yourself. I am so flattered that I am a threat to you. I am so freaking flattered. Thank you…CRAZY EYES!”

Matt’s so-called “crazy eyes” are furrowed in confusion, as are the rest of the houseguests. The tone has shifted so quickly that, between the group in the kitchen and overhearing in the bathroom, they’re questioning whether this is actually real. But Angela doesn’t leave them out of her rant, saying to them all, “Your performance was absolutely great…for a low-budget movie.” The context indicates that she was offered a place in an alliance the night prior, but she chose not to take them at their word.

“I would love for the houseguests to know how CRAZY EYES,” she continues, “very aggressively threatened me verbally in my room on our one-on-one. He tells me, ‘You put me up, somebody will take me down, if not myself. And when I am down, you better believe you’re going up on the block.'”

Despite her words (and Matt’s confusion), Angela’s speech then turns positive. She calls herself a people pleaser and expresses her desire to have fun with everybody during the rest of her time here. Though, hilariously, she briefly breaks the positivity to indicate to Matt that he is the exception to that, and that he shouldn’t talk to her. Then, she takes a shot at Makensy Manbeck, saying “she could do better” and implying that they’re in a showmance.

“Who’s ‘Crazy Eyes’?” Matt asks when Angela invokes the nickname again. “Are you talking to me?” Angela responds by launching into an impression of him, complete with taking off her glasses and manually spreading her eyes wide, imitating his apparently intense energy. But, ironically, it’s Angela herself who has come across as just as manic as she accuses Matt of being.

“Angela has turned from sweet mommy to mother dearest,” says VIP cocktail waitress Leah Peters. “And I’m scared.” We’ll see how Angela’s tirade is seen by the rest of the house, and whether the Head of Household has found a brand-new target.
